The Organist at Shrewsbury Abbey

Glyn began his musical education at the age of seven when he joined the choir of Shrewsbury Abbey. He had his first piano lessons with the then Abbey Organist, Dr Kenneth Greenway. He began organ lessons at the age of eleven and continued to study with Charles Jones, Richard Dacey, David Leeke and Alan Viner, and also studied at the former RSCM Headquarters at Addington Palace, Croydon. He now holds the LRSM Diploma in Organ Performance.

Until spring 2007 Glyn was the accompanist for the Shrewsbury Male Voice Choir, a position he held for fifteen years. This gave him the opportunity to play the organ at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham, the Royal Albert Hall in London and at numerous prestigious churches and cathedrals throughout this country and overseas.

Glyn is now concentrating on expanding his recital programme and furthering his musical direction, and has recently been appointed Assistant Master of Music at Shrewsbury Abbey.
